Law and Jurisdiction

For the avoidance of doubt, this website, its content and any contract established as a result of its use, is governed by, enforced and construed in accordance with English Law. All parties associated to such contract irrevocably agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Accuracy of Content

Every care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of this website, with particular regard to providing a fair description of products, and that prices quoted are correct at the time of publishing. We do our best to ensure that prices are correctly shown however errors may occasionally arise. In the rare circumstance where this is the case, we will correct the price and contact you to clarify whether you still wish to proceed with your order. We will not proceed with your order until we have successfully contacted you. We will not accept orders where a pricing error is apparent. 

Descriptions, Sizes and Measurements

Weights, dimensions and descriptions given are approximate and intended for general guidance only. Additionally, every effort has been made to display product images and colours as accurately as possible. However, actual colours may vary depending on the type of display you are using and therefore, we cannot guarantee complete accuracy. 

It should also be noted that in some cases, due to the hand made nature of many of our products, slight variations in colour and pattern may be apparent in respect to the images used on this website.

Order Process

Placing an order signifies that you agree to our Terms and Conditions of sale as detailed here. These Terms and Conditions do not in any way affect your statutory rights.

Your required items will be placed and held within your basket until such point as you are ready to purchase by proceeding to checkout. You will then be guided through a series of screens, which include completion of payment details. Please have your credit/debit card details available.  All payments will be processed when you place your order. 

After you have placed your order, we will send you an email advising your order is being processed, however this does not constitute either order confirmation or order acceptance by us. 

Order acceptance and the creation of the contract between you and us will only take place upon the dispatch of goods from us, with associated invoice. 

If you do not receive an email advising your order is being processed within 24 hours of placing your order, or your items have not been delivered within the advised timescale, please contact our customer service department via email (contact@sosophisticated.co.uk) or by calling us on 0845 603 4732. 

We reserve the right to refuse to supply any company or individual. 

Availability

The Purchase of goods is subject to availability. We will advise you as soon as possible should any of your ordered items be out of stock. 

Payment

All prices are displayed inclusive of UK VAT at 17.5%, but do not include carriage charges. We reserve the right to amend prices should there be a change in the rate of VAT. 

The unit of currency used throughout this site is Pounds Sterling (£) only and all transactions will be processed in Pounds Sterling (£), plus applicable taxes. 

Payment may be made using any of the cards listed on our website and will be debited upon receipt of your order. All purchases are processed via PROTX, our online payment facility. PROTX provide secure online credit and debit card payment solutions for thousands of online and mail order businesses and have become the largest independent Payment Service Provider in the UK.

We accept all major credit and debit cards with the exception of American Express and Diners Club. The card must be registered to the account address. We are unable to accept Cards that are due to expire within the next 5 days. Card details are checked and verified by a third party and goods are despatched once authorisation has been obtained. 

Carriage Charges

The standard charge for Postage & Packing within the UK is £3.95 per order.

We will only charge you once for Postage & Packing per order, even if we send more than one package. 

Currently, deliveries can only be made within the UK only. Sorry, but we are unable to deliver to shipping companies and PO boxes. 

We aim to deliver orders within 2-4 working days, however certain locations may take longer including:

  • Northern Ireland
  • Scottish Highlands
  • Shetland and Orkney
  • Isle of Man
  • Scilly Isles 

If you would like to have items delivered to separate addresses, please complete a separate order for each address. Appropriate delivery charges will apply per order 

Gift Messaging & Gift Wrapping

Any gift messaging service made available to you is for personal, non-commercial use only. You are entirely responsible for all content of any message and SoSophisticated.co.uk hold no liability for such content.

You agree that you will not impersonate any other person when using this service. Additionally, you agree that any messages sent to a third party by SoSophisticated.co.uk will not contain anything which could be construed as objectionable, obscene, harassing, racist or otherwise offensive.  We retain the right to refuse to send messages at any time and with no liability to you. 

Title and Risk

Title to any products ordered will pass to you once SoSophisticated.co.uk has received payment in full for those products. 

Risk in any products ordered will pass to you upon delivery. 

Delivery, Examination & Claims

Unless otherwise specified, we will select the most appropriate carrier for your order. Deliveries will be made by Royal Mail or Parcelforce and will require a signature to confirm receipt. This signature will be proof that you or the person at the requested address has successfully received the delivery. 

It is your responsibility to check the contents of the delivery against the accompanying dispatch note. In the event of apparent damage, defects or shortages, you must promptly notify us in writing (in any event within 7 days of receipt of goods). 

Cancellation

Under the terms of the Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within seven (7) working days of receipt of goods. Where deliveries have been made to third parties, you will only be able to exercise this right if you are able to return the goods ordered.

Should you wish to cancel your order, you will be responsible for the return of the goods in their original unopened packaging and in a saleable condition to the company's address. All reasonable care should be taken to package goods adequately to ensure safe transit. Return carriage costs will be at the buyers expense unless a product is faulty or damage. In the interests of hygiene, selected items including earrings, cosmetics and toiletries cannot be returned unless they are faulty. 

Returns & Refunds

 

General:

In the unlikely event that you receive goods which are faulty, of a different quantity to that stated on your order, not of satisfactory quality or not as described, SoSophisticated.co.uk will be happy to, at our own option, replace or repair any damaged or faulty items, make good any shortages, or refund the cost of the item(s) in question, with the following conditions: 

Faulty or damaged goods must be reported immediately upon receipt or in any event within 7 days.

All other returns requests must be made and received within 21 days of receipt of goods.

With the exception of faulty goods, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on products which have not been returned to us in fully resaleable condition, or that we reasonably believe have been used. Alternatively, we reserve the right to deduct 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount, at our discretion.

Delivery charges will be only be refunded in the instance of incorrect, damaged or faulty goods.

Return Exclusions:

In the interests of hygiene, selected items including earrings, cosmetics and toiletries cannot be returned unless they are faulty. 

Please note that in the case of cancellations and returns, which have been supplied with additional gift wrapping, the gift wrapping service charge cannot be refunded. 

How to return products:

All returns must be authorised by us prior to their return. In the first instance, please notify us via email or telephone (customer.support@sosophisticated.co.uk / 0845 603 4732), with details of the Purchase Order (if known), your name, address, contact telephone number and email address, together with details of the issue or fault. 

We will then provide you with a Returns number, which must be indicated on the returned item(s) packaging and quoted in any further correspondence.

Please return items in their original unopened packaging and in a saleable condition to the company's address. All reasonable care should be taken to package goods adequately to ensure safe transit. 

In addition, it is recommended that you use a recorded delivery, or traceable delivery service for all returns. We cannot be held responsible for goods lost in transit or damaged due to insufficient packaging. 

Timescales:

We will confirm receipt of any items returned and, subject to inspection, will process dispatch of a replacement or refund as quickly as possible. 

Refunds will be processed as soon as possible, but at most within 2 weeks of our receipt of returned goods. Refunds can only be credited to the original payment card account. 

Faulty Goods:

Should you find any product to be faulty, it can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Please notify us immediately upon delivery and follow the returns process as indicated. 

Upon receipt, we will investigate the fault, and either send a replacement (subject to availability) or offer you a refund. Occasionally, should there be an opportunity to repair any item, it will be returned to the supplier. In these cases, please bear with us as the processing time may be extended.
